Statement of Evidence
Parish of Holy Trinity Kingsford Anglican Church
Summary of the Proposal
1. The Parish is seeking a master trust ordinance in the standard form, without any variations, in line with Standing Committee policy.
-
The purpose of the ordinance is to establish a trust fund for the Kingsford parish of Holy Trinity Anglican Church (the Parish) based on the form of ordinance approved by the Standing Committee.
3. Additionally, from time to time, the parish will apply for government grant funding which, should the applications be successful, will form part of trust funds and requires a trust ordinance to be in place.
4. The Parish confirms it is not aware of any special or unusual circumstances in relation to parish property that have a bearing on the operation of the KINGSFORD Trust Ordinance 2026.
Interaction with Standing Committee Policies
5. The Parish is promoting the ordinance in compliance with the Standing Committee’s policy adopted at its 12 November 2012 meeting that parishes wishing to promote ordinances to the Standing Committee must promote a trust ordinance prior to, or at the same time, as doing so.
6. The Parish is promoting the ordinance with the streamlined Statement of Evidence, approved at the meeting of the Standing Committee on 11 October 2021, and reflected in paragraph 1.3.2 of the Policies of the Standing Committee.
Variables in Standard Form Ordinance
7. The variables in the standard form ordinance have been completed in the ordinance as follows –
(a)30% of income arising from the trust fund is to be capitalised, unless the fund is predominantly invested in the Long Term Pooling Fund, in which case there is no capitalisation (clause 7(1)(a)),
(b)the review date for application of income is after the date the ordinance commences (clause 8), and
(c)the ordinance commences on the date of assent.
